Reasons for migration
Six migrants from across the world tell their stories. Read some of the individual stories and afterwards try to answer these questions:
- What reasons did they have to leave their countries?
- Why did they choose these countries?
- Which reasons are there to leave one’s country?
- How does migration take place?
- What is better in the new living situation?
- What can be difficult in a new living situation?
Think about yourself. Consider what could cause you to migrate. If you are a migrant yourself, describe your migration or consider the circumstances under which you would emigrate again.
- What reasons could drive you to another country?
- Where would you go?
- Who would you want to go with you?
- What would you look forward to?
- What would you be afraid of?
