Critical thinking
This topic shows you how to think critically, find hidden contexts and read between the lines
Assessment of sources
In the internet age we are constantly under the siege of enormous amounts of information, and it is often difficult to decide what to believe and what not. Therefore, it is important to learn to differentiate useful and objective information from the ballast.
Expert periodical vs. unknown blog
When analysing sources critically we should at first “sieve” authors of information and source, which information comes from . Did you get the information from respected authority in the field or from neighbour’s son? Did you read it at the blog of an unknown person or is the text from peer reviewed periodical? Are not you reading te text at the website of a private company? If yes, what are the interests of that company?
Practical task
Read carefully the following websites A and B. Which one of them is more credible and why?
